Letter From Dr Walters on Fort Riley Camp Life and War Effort
Dr Walters writes from Fort Riley Kansas describing Camp 35 Barracks 7 July 4 1918 praising the 20 000 acre training reservation its water and light system hospital and equipment. He notes thousands of recruits and perfect sanitation health care and Red Cross support as essential to the war effort and expresses pride in American soldiers and their sacrifice. He mentions doctors trained in field camp and hospital management and a Denver doctor whose daughter urged action.
