Iraq War vet charged in fatal shooting of ex SEAL in Texas
Eddie Ray Routh, a Lancaster resident and Iraq War veteran, was arraigned on capital murder and two murder counts for the shooting deaths of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield at Rough Creek Lodge shooting range in Stephenville Texas. Kyle, 38, authored American Sniper and helped found the FITCO Cares nonprofit. Littlefield, 35, was his neighbor and workout partner. Authorities pursue motive while ballistics tests proceed. Routh, held on a $3 million bond, may have been suffering from military service related mental illness.
