Contractors Daily and Holifield of San Antonio secured a 145000 dollar contract to smooth and reseal and widen the highway between Anson and Stamford. The project will add three feet of width on both sides and extend to a four lane section from the overpass southwest of Stamford to the railroad. Service Held for Former Resident Here Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Dyer, aged 81, were held Wednesday at 3 pm at Central Presbyterian Church. She died Sunday in Denver, lived in Wichita Falls 44 years, and is survived by two daughters, two sons, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and siblings. Burial was at Highland Cemetery beside her husband, with Kinney and Son Funeral Home handling arrangements.
