The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. d. W. Newsome on November 17 was celebrated Sunday with a family party at the Newsome home. The couple's children and relatives joined in a dinner with a tiered cake and gold trimmed china. They moved from Hico to Stamford decades ago and have six grandchildren.

Work Begins on Scout Building in Stamford
Repair and remodeling of the Moran street old school into a home for the Boy Scouts and Camp Fire Girls of Stamford began Tuesday morning with roof work. Interior work followed after, with Scouts clearing the building last Saturday. Ed Jones won the contract at a Scout committee meeting held Thursday night. Cost plus 10 percent is the agreement. W. G.
