Stamford High School overwhelmed the Haskell Indians 21 to 0 as Captain Hagar sprinted 40 yards for a first-half score and Bob Gardner added a 32 yard run. Large Airplane Visits Stamford Port With Flight Details
A 5 passenger Lockheed Vega visited Stamford Airport on Wednesday. Pilot J Warren Smith landed at 9 30 a m and departed 4 30 p m en route to Los Angeles for overhaul. Smith, linked to Arrow Head Airways, praised Stamford’s field and suggested a hangar and telephone. The trip from Kansas City to Benjamin included a forced landing. A 3000 strong crowd joined Stamford and Anson in a Wednesday ceremony marking the completion of Highway No. 30, a concrete all-weather link. N. C. Hilburn of Penick-Hughes Company in Stamford suffered a fractured shoulder and possible internal injuries after his car skidded on a slick Sager ton highway Friday morning. He righted the vehicle and was returning home when helpers arrived. he remained at Stamford Sanitar ium for treatment and rested Thursday.
