Stamford High School twirlers win gold medals in first division for all four solo performances at the Class AA Abilene event. The ensemble earns second division as the band under Arlene Teichelman earns an excellent Class II. Judges rate the 72 member band with one I and two II scores. CofC Seeks Playoff Games at Bulldog Stadium

Health care center to be discussed at Stamford meeting

Stamford School Board Hears Auditor Report on Coop Budget

TB testing program in Stamford school system
Final tests will be given Thursday in the state TB testing program conducted in the Stamford school system. High school students new to this system have not yet been tested. the program already reached kindergarten, first grade, and seventh grade pupils under the supervision of Mrs. Clydean Phillips. Thanksgiving service plans for city in Stamford
Stamford churches plan a joint Thanksgiving service at First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Thomas delivering the sermon and music led by Mike Manley. The First Baptist adult, youth and children’s choirs will sing. An invitation goes to all area churches to participate. Bill Koon attended a Big Spring hearing on a new special law aiding small communities. The service is scheduled for Wednesday night, November 22, at 7:30.

Stamford Family Leaves for California After 28 Years
The W. A. Cierleys, longtime Stamford residents, are moving to Porterville, California after selling their Harvard Street home to Carl Cooper. They were married in 1907 and have lived in Stamford 28 years. He worked as a salesman for Wooten Grocer Co and traveled for the National Trades Day Association until age 80. Their daughter Mrs Floyd K Sanders resides in Porterville.
