John Tower won re election to the U S Senate with 746 440 votes while Waggoner Carr had 972 071, Gov. John Connally beat T E Kennerly 887 286 to 319 714. Brush control urged as Texas wide problem by expert
Norman Sachnik of the San Angelo based Range Engineering and Development Corp told Stamford Rotarians that brush like mesquite drains water and reduces grass cover.
