Stiffer Penalties For Stamford Teens In Traffic Court
Stamford corporation court will impose harsher penalties after May 18. Recorder Dick Rowland said the court has been lenient toward traffic violators, noting teenagers are the largest group and fines can reach up to $100. Under a new state law, the court may fine youths 14 to 17 and 14 to 18 up to $100 and suspend licenses until fines are paid.

Tornado Strikes Farm of Former Tuxedo Resident
A Sunday afternoon tornado damaged the Baize farm at Potosie destroying barns and outbuildings. Mr and Mrs Novel Baize, former Tuxedo residents, had around twenty relatives present for Mothers Day reunion. no injuries reported. Sam Baize of Samford and a third party were en route when the storm hit. Mumford Baizes arrived about twenty minutes later.
