George L Inglish 90 died Saturday at Stamford Sanitarium after a long career in newspapers. He led the Stamford Leader from 1913 until its sale in 1948 and remained active in public life and writing until illness. Funeral services were held at St Johns Methodist Church and Lanham First Methodist Church with burial in Willow Wild Cemetery.

Rice Springs Roundup Opens in Haskell This Week
The wildest in the West Rice Springs Roundup and Horse Show opens in Haskell Thursday May 9 and runs through Saturday night. A parade at 5 p m Thursday features 12 to 15 riding clubs and a grand entry to the rodeo. Trophies go to Haskell Saddle Tramps led by president Shelly Royall. A quarter horse show May 10 and a Shetland Pony show May 11 debut, with prize money over 2000 dollars and a custom saddle for the top roper.

McClellan Stars as Bulldogs Win Track Championship
