250 Young Trees Planted at College Lake Park Evening
About 250 seedling trees were planted along the shoreline from the dam to the south end of College Lake Park. Howard Price, park board chairman, thanked volunteers of about 35 who worked from 5 to 7 30 pm as each sapling bore a red bow for care. The trees were ordered from the Texas Forest Service and shipped from a nursery near Alto.

Former Resident Langford to be Buried in Stamford
Funeral for Guy Langford 56 will be held in Stamford on Friday. Langford died of a heart attack in Corpus Christi Tuesday morning where he worked as a foreman for Aransas Compress. He was born in Cleburne February 2, 1898 and moved to Stamford in 1901. He married Dovie Clemmie in 1932 and is survived by his wife a daughter Mary Sue 13 a son Richard Clyde two sisters and three brothers.
