Calves Bring 37.70 At Show Sale
Fifteen calves shown at the Stamford Livestock Show sold for an average of 37.70 cents per pound. The top price was 41 cents for a 120-pound steer shown by Elton Brigham, who placed first in the light milk fed division. Brigham later took the champion calf to Amarillo. Ten fat barrows averaged 25.5 cents per pound, with capons averaging about 6.50 dollars each. Buyers included Howard Jenkins, Southwest Motor Co., Anson, and Eager Feed Store, Stamford.
