A baby girl named Melissa Tomlinson was born to Mr. and Mrs Ronnie Tomlinson at Stamford Memorial Hospital on Wednesday evening June 21 at 9 o'clock. The infant weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces. The same issue notes the Hamlin City Council approved a two part telephone rate increase on Monday June 19 in cooperation with Anson and Stamford councils to extend area service to three towns.

Waggoner Finishes Third in Dyess Golf Tourney
