The eleventh annual Texas Cowboy Reunion announces more than $4,000 in prizes including six special saddles and daily cash awards. A new horse show features $1,480 in prizes plus other cash and equipment prizes across calf roping, cutting, bronc riding, steer riding, and parade divisions.
The Texas Cowboy Reunion features a cutting horse contest with a special saddle and $90 total prizes. Entries close July 2 at 6 p.m., with a $5 fee and two tickets allocated for the afternoon or night show. Winners receive prizes from first to fourth place, and past champions are named with their horses.

Rev. First Buck O'Brien pastor spoke at the Exchange Club noon meeting at the Inn lost Friday. He compared world conditions with the past and cited crises in history. Dr I man Hudson introduced him and gave notes on a State Board of Control meeting in Dallas. Hudson invited the state convention to Stamford for Clyde booster 1941. Westfall announced tri sponsorship and 15 new members had joined. Bowdry and Conrad honored for securing new members.
T A Bedford visited his cousin Judge C E Coombes and family for several days last week and traveled to Midland before returning for the Texas Cowboy Reunion next week. He was a California highway engineer who retired at 70 and first came to West Texas in the late 19th century, aiding on J H and Scribe M ranches. He registered last week as a Reunion Association member.

Miss Fern Sawyer of Brownfield is highlighted as the 1939 first prize winner at the Texas Cowboy Reunion. Her home ranch is near Crossroads, New Mexico, and she plans to return for the 1940 reunion.

The Southwest spotlight shines on Stamford for the eleventh Texas Cowboy Reunion beginning Tuesday with a grand parade at 11 a.m. and an early rodeo by 8 a.m. Daily events run 8 a.m. 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. with schedules of dances, parades, and a livestock show boosting prizes beyond 4000 dollars.

Back from St. Louis Mr and Mrs A E Weise and Mrs J B Dodson arrived home Friday night after visiting their son transferred from Randolph Field at San Antonio to Scott Field in Illinois. They traveled home via the Ozark Mountains in Northwest Arkansas visiting relatives along the way.
