Slim Pickens will host a Collector's Preview on July 2 at the John Selmon Memorial Gallery in Stamford. Stamford Council Approves Paving Assessment Ordinance
Stamford city council in regular session last Friday closed an ordinance for paving northwest Stamford and Reynolds Street from Wetherbee to the city limits. Stamford plans two All-Star Little League softball teams with a Saturday announcement at College Lake Park near the National Guard armory. The day features a Royals vs Rangerettes 1:30 p.m. opener, Rangerettes leading the 13-15 division, and 9-12 pairings Daisy Cutters vs Raiders at 3 p.m. followed by Mustangs vs Kittens at 4:30 p.m. Standings reflect last Saturday with Wednesday games not yet counted.
