Swimming Pool Nears Completion On Highway 30
The western city pool on Highway 30 should finish by about June 25 under Henry Cook of the water department. The pool is nearly complete with pipe work and concrete walks pending while the filtration and bath house are pushed forward. The bath house features native rock double walls to avoid wood framing, concrete floors, and a shingled roof with separate men and women dressing areas and an office. A purified system will keep the water clean without frequent refilling. The pool measures 60 by 120 feet and is expected to be among the finest in the vicinity. The city plans a new property to retire warrants funding the project.

Rodeo Sets 2500 Dollar Prize List for Reunion Event

Soaking Rain Raises Stamford Year Rain Total to 16.44
A soaking rain on Wednesday night brought 1.06 inches to Stamford, lifting spring rainfall since May 1 to 11.72 inches. Earlier light showers on June 2, 5, and 11 added 0.30 inches. The 1934 year total stood at 14.78 inches.

Recovery of Flour Leads to Burglary Charges Against Stamford Man
Recovery of 16 sacks of flour allegedly stolen from the Stamford Mill & Elevator Company warehouse led to two burglary charges against Clar ence McCann of Stamford. After a preliminary hearing, McCann was bound over to the grand jury with bonds of $1,000 each. Trades Day Opens With Small Crowd and Auction Spark

Lies For 10 Hours With Broken Leg Before Aid Comes
Ralph Smith, 20, lay unaided with a broken leg for about 10 hours near Leeders after being thrown from a horse while driving cattle on the T. G. Hendricks ranch. His cries drew passers-by around 7:30 p.m. and he was taken to Stamford Sanitarium. His leg is broken below the knee and he is progressing favorably.
