Kenneth Campbell of Ranger ran 15 miles solo in the Los Angeles to New York derby and led a five man Lueders relay of Troy Gifford Alton Moore Floyd Walls Orion Harper and John Barnes from Stamford to Lueders Sunday. Barnes was the fastest of the Lueders group.

Mrs. I Rutherford has been ill for days and a large crowd attended Sunday afternoon singing at the Baptist church. The Stamp's quartet performed Monday night to a full house. Various communities joined Sunday school and social gatherings with parties honoring Katheryn Campbell and Vera Hill. New Hope defeated Lueders 3 to 1 in Stamford Ball Park as the season record reached 16 wins and 9 losses.

The Stamford Odd Fellows and Rebekahs held a joint memorial at their hall with an imitation grave and flower tributes. A large crowd attended as music and personal remembrances honored the deceased members.

Walter Whitfield Davis aged 34 died Tuesday afternoon in Stamford where he had recently resided in the western part of the city. He was buried Wednesday afternoon at Phanton Hill beside his wife. Funeral arrangements were handled by W. N. Kinney of Stamford Undertaking Company.
