Timing Bollworm Control in Cotton Crops
Farmers are advised to time insecticide applications to target bollworms, with early infestations treated promptly and later broods within a day or two after hatching. Field tests show chlorinated hydrocarbon mixes like dieldrin-DDT and aldrin-DDT provide effective control, though timing and method (dust or spray) are crucial.
