Grandmother of Mr Moreland Dies in Jayton
Mrs. W. K. Moreland aged 80, grandmother of H. J. Moreland Sr., died at Hendrick Memorial hospital Sunday at 4 0 a.m. after 16 months as a patient and five years of ill health. Funeral Tuesday at First Baptist Church Jayton, burial in Jayton cemetery beside her husband who died in 1914. They moved to Jayton in 1807 after living 10 years in Abilene. Survived by five sons, six daughters, 32 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Stamford Man Killed in Highway Accident
Frank Santiago, 26, of Stamford, died when the automobile he rode in crashed into a road checker on the Albany highway about 12:05 p m Sunday. Driver Santos Chax escaped injury. Santiago was taken to Abilene and brought to Stamford for funeral. Chax pleaded guilty to negligent homicide, fined $200 and sentenced to seven days in jail.
