Hundreds of pioneer cowboys and visitors fill Stamford for the Pioneer Cowboy Reunion opening. A 2:30 pm arena tableau salutes Texas cattlemen with a horseback procession led by W. G. Swenson. Chuck Wagons Arrive At Cowboy Reunion Grounds
Six chuck wagons arrived at the Cowboy Reunion grounds Sunday afternoon and prepared meals for the supper hour. Wagons include the B-Bar Cattle Company stretch, the Sweetwater original D-Z Ranch equipment, the S.M.S. Flat Top of Stamford, the S.M.S. Spur Ranch of Spur, the Pioneer Cowboys wagon, and Rip Gustafson's duck wagon meals. Additional outfits were expected. The wagons will parade this afternoon.
