A young man identified as Rex Weldon from Hobbs New Mexico was arrested within hours after allegedly holding up Huey J Rogers of Abilene at gunpoint and stealing his nearly new Dodge coupe. Cal V Penick was elected president with Joe A Matthews as first vice president and Dock Ellie as second vice president. Bud Smith is secretary and BR V Colbert treasurer. A bylaws committee includes KF Coombes chairman John M Gist and Jon Jay. Oldtimers who worked ranches 35 years ago will compose the membership. 335 attendees received a Cowboy Reunion badge. The Pioneer Cattlemen meet annually in Stamford during the Texas Cowboy Reunion.
