Stamford FFA members plan to showcase multiple animals at the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show in Fort Worth. Jerry Don Threet, a Rule FFA boy in his third year of vocation agriculture, won first in the light weight dirty-lot steer division at the Haskell County FFA and 4-H Fat Livestock Show in Haskell. Stamford FFA staged a sheep dairy and beef cattle show in downtown Stamford despite damp weather. Judges listed include Clemon Montgomery with awards to Edd Shuquist Richard Carson Bobby Rogers Jan Olson and Don Campbell among others with ribbons awarded in fat steers breeding beef cows sheep and lamb classes. No cash prizes were given and future ribbon events set for February 10 at the Texas Cowboy Reunion grounds.
