Slow Sale of 60 Auto Tags Slows in Stamford
Despite the 1960 car license tags being available for nearly a month, Upshaw and Upshaw report only a small fraction of last year’s total issued in Stamford. About 2,300 plates were issued last year, with just 230 or more sold so far this week, leaving over 2,000 short of the prior year's total. The April 1 deadline nears and most tags typically are issued in the final days, with long lines expected.
