The medical self help and first aid course at Kinney Funeral Home begins at 7 p m tonight after a weather delay. Sponsored by the Jones County Extension office and Kinney Funeral Home the accredited course will cover emergencies artificial respiration bleeding and bandaging fractures and splinting with George Kinney leading tonight's instruction. The missed Monday session will be taken up next Monday and the rest of the course will proceed per the original plan.

Suspended Term Revoked for Hawley Burglary Convict
Glendall R. Crump had a three year suspended sentence for burglary of a Hawley service station revoked last week. Judge Owen Thomas ordered Crump to the state penitentiary to serve two to three years with credit for 40 days in jail after a Taylor County misdemeanor conviction.

Mothers March and Talent Show Raise 621 for MOD
Stamford residents raised 621 for the March of Dimes from a Mothers March and a Stamford High School Student Council talent show held last week. The Mothers March netted 581, with the remaining from talent contest results announced by Student Council president Jack Kennedy. Winners included Bunky Bunkley, Cindy Loop, Pam Richards, Pam Griffin, Sonya Youngquist, and The Superbs in a piano duet, solo, and tie for third.
