Permit Granted For Through Bus Line To Roswell

Licenses issued since noon Monday reached 479 by Thursday morning as new state law requires all drivers to be licensed. S L Johnson 71, an early Haskell county settler, died suddenly of a heart attack in East Texas. His son M W Johnson hurried to Buffalo, Texas after the message. survivors include his wife and 10 children. The funeral drew all but the eldest daughter, delayed by illness. M W Johnson then returned to Stamford.

Stamford has its fire insurance key rate raised to 15 percent effective March 1 after a four year average credit. The Texas Centennial celebrations across 100 cities boosted premiums and provided statewide observances. A new five year average will determine future credits with a maximum of 25 percent.

Funeral service held for Jno Pustejovsky of Jones County
Funeral rites for John Pustejovsky 40 prominent Jones county farmer were conducted Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church by Rev. Paul Mosler and Very Rev. H Kaufer. Burial followed in Highland Cemetery. Pustejovsky died Thursday Feb 14 from an accidental gunshot wound. Survivors include wife Helen Muehlstein, son Frank, daughter Helen Annie, three sisters and a brother, with numerous relatives from Granger West and Czecho-Slovakia.

Buchanan has served since 1929 locally, with 27 years in Fort Worth as captain and prior seven years in Breckenridge. he is unmarried.

She led a session for Stamford School of Nursing students and West Texas Baptist Hospital trainees at Abilene. A business meeting for District 15 was held by Miss Stella McCulloch of Abilene.
