Woodmen Circle No. 291 Stam ng held an all day meeting at the City Auditorium on Wednesday February 1 with guests Mrs. Olene White state captain of Dallas and drill teams from Abilene and Breckenridge. Mrs A Hi Goldsticker hosted a luncheon for visitors. Afternoon initiation by Stamford team followed by a 42 party and closing refreshments. The Stamford drill team presented Mrs White with a fireside bench as a keepsake.

Cody Cates formerly of Stamford died in Gatesville Sunday and was buried there Monday. Blood poisoning was given as the cause. He worked at the City Barber Shop in Stamford until a few months ago, friends report.
