John Frankin Coff aged 61 of Huntsville died after a visit to his son W. W. Goff and family in this city. He was taken to the hospital and funeral services were held at Kinney and Corley Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Hinson. Burial followed in Highland cemetery. He previously lived in Huntsville about 79 years and is survived by his wife, another son Verbelle, three daughters and seven grandchildren.

J H Howard left Wednesday due to the critical illness of his father J H Howard Sr in a Denison hospital. He was joined by his sister Mrs N E Brown after traveling from Seymour. The elder Howard has been in a hospital for eight months and recently broke his hip at home in Altus Oklahoma, leaving little hope for recovery.

Texas Scouts Report To Governor At Jester Crusade Event
Robert Dickenson of the Chisholm Trail Council joined 600 Cubs from the Capital Area Council in a 10 block parade through Austin. Governor Jester received the report, commended the scouts, and urged greater efforts in the two year crusade. The group toured the capitol dome, attended a banquet at Hotel Austin, and visited the scout ranch before returning home.
