Penney before enlisting in November 1940.

Otto Klump, 84, of Old Glory, died Feb 10 after a heart attack at his daughter's home. Funeral held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Herbert Amp. burial in Brandenburg Cemetery. Charlie Green, longtime Stamford Board of City Development and Chamber of Commerce manager, resigns to lead Vernon Chamber of Commerce. He plans to start between March 1 and 15. Mrs. Green remains secretary in Stamford, likely until after the Texas Cowboy Reunion. A M G Swenson, president, announced the move.
