Minister H. W. Wrye announced a union revival to begin Sunday March 12 at the Stamford Church of Christ. Churches in Jones Haskell and Stonewall counties will join in the soul-winning campaign with Stamford members coordinating efforts.

Driver Of Bread Truck Dies After Wreck
R H McDuff driver of the Dixie Bakery truck in Abilene died at West Texas Baptist Sanitarium at 5 p m Wednesday from injuries after his truck left the road and burned two miles north of Abilene He started from Abilene on a run to Anson Stamford and Hamlin at 6 20 a m and was found by R L Young of Abilene He was thrown clear of the flaming car Funeral services were held at Bethel at three o'clock Thursday He is survived by his wife two children a sister Mrs George Free of Weinert and relatives in Stamford He formerly lived in Anson

"Uncle Ben" Cullum a veteran Penick Hughes Company employee near Stamford became ill at the store Monday and was treated at home. He regained consciousness and showed improvement by Wednesday. Mrs G L Eslinger aged 86 died at the home of her daughter Mrs W Fuqua Saturday at 3 30 am. She had lived in Stamford over ten years and previously resided in Abilene. Funeral services were held at 11 am Saturday at R A Fuqua’s home with Rev C R Hooton officiating. Burial followed in Highland cemetery beside her husband. She is survived by daughter Mrs W W Fuqua two sons R A Eslinger of Plainview and J L Eslinger of Canyon City Colorado and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
