The USDA order dated Jan 27 increases established yields for Rolling Plains counties. Jones County gains 27 pounds per acre and $314,774.91. Haskell adds 24 pounds and $308,499.19. Four Indicted By Grand Jury In Anson District Court
The 104th District Court grand jury in Anson returned four true bills on Monday. Charles A. Scott and Doris Faye Miller face forgery and passing charges. Gordon A. Seymore is charged with DWI record offense. Raymond Sanchez faces burglary after being found inside a warehouse owned by L and F Construction Co on the Anson Highway. Members of the Stamford National Guard unit were called to duty on a practice alert Saturday as part of Exercise Talon Shield. About 400 units in five states participated. Local members were summoned around noon Saturday, released that night, and in training all day Sunday.
