Inoculation Clinic Scheduled for Tuesday at Community Kindergarten
The second monthly inoculation clinic for school and pre school children will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Community Kindergarten from five to seven. Nurses Mrs Ryland Gleaton and Mrs C V Herbert will co chair with volunteers from Stamford Memorial Hospital. Henrietta Gomez of the Texas Department of Health office at Sweetwater will also attend. Four inoculations rubella DPT polio and measles will be given, with polio and DPT requiring three monthly doses.

Mothers march for March of Dimes to aid birth defects

Commissioners approve pay hike after warning on legality
Jones County commissioners amended the budget to grant a 10 percent raise for all employees and a 5.1 percent raise for most elected officials. The county treasurer would gain from 605 to 700 dollars, while commissioners raised their own pay from 554 to 700 dollars, despite warnings that they could not exceed the raise given to at least one other employee. The court also bought two trucks for Precinct 1 and named First National Bank of Anson as county depository.
