John Pustejovsky Fatally Shot In Accidental Rifle Firing
John Pustejovsky, a well known Jones county resident, died in Stamford Sanitarium after being accidentally shot in the head at his home. He had retrieved a 22 rifle to shoot a hawk when the weapon discharged while he was loading it, family members said. His son found him and he was rushed to hospital but died about 3:45 p m Thursday. The incident occurred Thursday morning about 10 o'clock.

Pneumonia Fatal To Mrs A D Pylant In Stamford Texas
Mrs. A. D. Pylant, 30, died of pneumonia at Stamford Sanitarium Thursday morning after a brief illness. She moved to Stamford six weeks ago from Sweetwater to join her husband employed at Barrow Furniture. Funeral at Chalk Mountain near Glen Rose Friday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. P. C. Williams and Rev. L. L. Beg officiating. She was born in Erath County and survived by husband two sons V. A. and Leroy eight and eleven, daughter Veda Mae, grandson Arthur of Waxahachie, and half sister Mrs. Nannie Weatherford of Rule.

Alma Maxwell, 12, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Maxwell, died at Stamford Sanitarium Saturday night after a monthlong illness. She suffered mastoid trouble and other complications. Funeral services were held at the Christy cremation scenes and burial followed in Highland.

Bus Terminal To Be Completed In Few More Days
The Wallace building at North Swenson avenue Moran street is being remodeled into a modern bus terminal and is expected to finish by February 20. Owner John Wallace says the two story brick building, damaged by fire, is now one story with a lobby cafe, rest rooms, ticket office, and a operator balcony. The rear holds double bus drives, wash racks, and repair shops. Johnny Aaron of White Star Coaches will operate the terminal serving all local lines. adjacent restaurant will be run by Mr and Mrs John Hogan.

Locke to Attend Infantry Training School at Fort Benning

Joe Williams Dies Suddenly In Austin
Word was received in Stamford Sunday of the death of Joe Williams brother of the late J. C. Williams of Stamford. Williams a salesman was in Austin when he was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage. Funeral service was held Tuesday at Clyde where his mother resides. He had spent several months here prior to January 1 and had formerly lived here for many years.

Sudan Ginner Dies in Avoca Auto Crash
Dewey Duke Gilliland, 30, of Sudan, was killed when his truck overturned after striking a bridge near Avoca at about 9:15 PM. Passenger Edward Moore, 19, of Budan, suffered head and facial lacerations and was taken to Stamford Sanitarium. Second Well On City Land To Be Spudded Friday
The sixth well in the Jennings area near Stamford was brought in Wednesday and is flowing into storage tanks. Ungren and Frazier own the new No A2 J W Jennings well, 2059 feet to King sand, with several other producers in the area. A second city well is set to spud Friday in the City of Stamford settling basin tract as crews move rigs and relocate locations.
