Alcohol Drug Education Program Comes to Stamford Events
Texas Alcohol Narcotics Education will bring Destiny, a six member college group, to Stamford High School for two 8:30 a.m. assemblies and a 10 a.m. program for elementary students, all in the high school auditorium. An 11 a.m. service at First Baptist Church will feature the troupe. Dr. R. R. Holton notes the aim to keep America free from unreal highs and lows. Destiny performs for about 30,000 youths monthly and TANE, active since 1935, is funded by churches, individuals, and business supporters. The group also schedules stops in Knox City and O'Brien in coming days.
