The Highland Cemetery in Sanford gains one fourth more land donated by Mrs. J. Jr. Ard of Abilene. The new space lies east of the existing grounds and will allow new lots to be sold as the old enclosure nears capacity. The city plans to add a fence and develop the area.

A Stamford motion picture titled Stamford on Parade will showcase the city's institutions streets fire department schools industries and businesses at the Grand Theatre. Blade Screen Service of San Francisco will produce the film with costs shared by the theater and local business leaders. Cameramen will arrive soon to begin arrangements.

Basket ball Meet Starts Friday For Girls Teams
The Interscholastic League basketball meet for senior girls in classes A and B begins Friday in Lueders with all Jones county senior teams participating. Miss Peggy Elliott is appointed meet director by County Director O W Winstead. Junior events follow at Avoca February 18 and 19, with the county district meet set for Anson March 14 and 15. The Lueders grammar school junior boys beat Avoca 6 to 5 and the Lueders girls defeated Avoca junior grammar girls 13 to 9 the same night.

Miss Missouri Lee Dies in Lubbock at 59
Miss Missouri Lee aged 59 died last Saturday at her sister Mrs Minnie Hattock’s home in Lubbock after a five week illness. Her body was brought to Stamford for a funeral Sunday at 4 pm at the home of Mr and Mrs C B Smith, with J M Rice of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Kinney Funeral Home directed. Survived by three Stamford brothers J T Lee Bill Lee and J T Lee, and a Stamford sister. Pallbearers named Mitt Adams Jack Lawson Roy Duke Lawrence C.
