City Receives Surplus Truck in War Program

Stamford received a 2.5 ton GMC surplus truck from the Texas Surplus Property unit in Lubbock. It will be converted to a dump truck, with transportation costs as the only city expense. Jarrell Sharp will speak at the Stamford Rotary Club’s annual races night banquet. He recently returned from a month’s study in Faeland and is minister of St John’s United Methodist Church.
