Four injured in auto crash on way to fire near Rule
A car carrying four people went into an open culvert west of Rule Saturday night injuring all aboard. Mrs Rex Murray 19 suffered a neck gash and both arms broken. Her husband broke an ankle. Teresa Spurlin visiting from South Texas broke a collar bone. Otto Spurlin driver injured a knee. They received first aid in Puls and Mr Mrs Murray were taken to Stamford Sanitarium.

Two Stamford Boys Win Cadet Appointments to West Point and Annapolis
Earl Russell of Stamford has won appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point and Billy J. Bryant to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. Official notices were received from Congressman Clyde L. Garrett on February 1. Russell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Russell and expected to report soon. Bryant, 17, is a Stamford High School senior who starred as a fullback for the Stamford Bulldogs and held several student leadership roles. Russell is a McMurry College graduate in June with a strong record, including class vice president and yell leader, while Bryant excels in school activities and academics.

Mr. Hood aged 70 died at his Fort Worth home Sunday at 1 55 am of a heart ailment after living in Tuxedo area forty years and in Fort Worth six years.
