Rotary Speaker Links Communism to Gold Shortage in Talk
Wichita Falls banker Dick Harris told Stamford Rotary Club on Tuesday that communism is the main cause of the gold shortage. He argued gold is leaving the country faster than it comes in and cited foreign aid costs of about 130 billion dollars since 1940 as a drain on gold reserves.
