Funeral Held For Arthur Wahlgren At Bethel Lutheran
Arthur Frederick Wahlgren died suddenly Monday night at his farm near Stamford. Funeral services were Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Hugo B. Haterius officiating and hymns sung, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Survived by four brothers and four sisters as well as a nephew and two nieces.

J. B. Pumphrey Jr. was re-elected president of the Stamford Production Credit Association at a directors meeting. J. F. McCulloch became vice president with J. L. Fire damages First National Bank Building
The First National Bank building suffered about 600 dollars in losses from a Friday night fire that started in the basement among records. The blaze damaged the first floor, a portion of the north wall, and an adding machine and desk while metal basement ceilings limited spread. Youth Killed in Auto Crash Near Stamford
A 19 year old youth Tate Rasco was killed and four companions injured when their car collided with a trailer on the highway just north of the city Saturday afternoon around 6 30. Rasco died Saturday night at Stamford Sanitarium. Other injured were Elmore Blackwell Monros Blackwell Ralph Moody and Newman Phillips. Funeral services for Rasco were held Monday at Swenson Avenue Baptist Church with burial in Highland Cemetery.

About 80 Stamford business men attended the Rotary Club luncheon Tuesday where Rotarians introduced competitors and guests who in turn responded. Father of Mrs Fleming shot in accidental incident
J. C. Woolfolk of Albany lies in Stamford Sanitarium in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the right forearm after being accidentally shot by a small boy sent to return a gun while hunting rabbits. The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon as Woolfolk walked through a vacant town area on his way home. Parents of the boy joined Woolfolk's relatives at the hospital. Woolfolk is an employee of Roeser and Pendleton Oil Company and is the father of Mrs. R. G. Fleming of this city.

Reverend Griswold Named New Pastor at Central Christian Church
Rev Walter Griswold has been called as the new pastor of the Central Christian Church succeeding Rev Albert Jones after more than two years. Griswold, a Texas Christian University graduate student, will relocate to Stamford in June with his wife. Jones leaves March 1 for a new post in San Antonio. During March a supply minister will preach and services continue. Approximately 90 people attended the Fellowship supper where Griswold spoke briefly.

Burglar Targets Stamford High School Cash Drawer
Stamford High School was entered Saturday night through a broken north door panel. About $20 was stolen from the student activity cash drawer after intruders reached the superintendent and principal offices by crawling over transoms. Police investigated after discovery Sunday afternoon when children reported the broken door.
