Celia Hughes 7 Dies After Short Illness in Stamford
Celia Mae Hughes age 7 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hughes of Stamford died Saturday at 8 30 p m at the Stamford Sanitarium after a two day illness. She was a second grade pupil at Oliver Street school born May 19 1949 in Stamford. Funeral held Monday at Playview Baptist Church Haskell county with Rev Billy Ray Crews and Rev Norris assisting. Burial in Highland Memorial cemetery Kinney Funeral Home in charge. Survived by parents two grandmothers and pallbearers named.

M. C. McKinley, operator of a Stamford shoe repair shop, named rural carrier on route 3 out of Stamford. He will begin February 2 serving New Hope and areas south of Stamford, replacing R. C. Stephenson who has carried the route since the death of C. B. Smith early in 1955. More than 50 applicants previously sought the vacancy.
