Camp Fire Girls Candy Sale Opens Monday in Stamford
The Stamford Camp Fire Girls announce a Monday start for their annual candy sale to fund summer camp expenses. Johnsons candy sells for $1 a box, with Feb 14 as the sale end date. Last year 1400 boxes were sold, cutting camp costs from 17.50 to 10.000, and about 100 Stamford girls attended camp.

Fire Damages Russell Home on East Campbell Street
Fire destroyed the interior and badly damaged the exterior of the I. A. Russell home at 407 East Campbell Street Sunday afternoon. Mrs R. B. Bule owns the house. furnishings belonged to Mr. and Mrs. Russell. The Russells were away in Hamlin, leaving about 12:30 p.m. Fire alarm at 2:10 p.m. The blaze started in the kitchen and gained headway before detection. Loss included a grand piano and heirloom china.
