Selig Feldt aged six died Tuesday at Baylor Hospital in Dallas after a bone cancer battle that began last August. He lost a leg to halt the disease and spent months in Dallas with his parents, who moved here for constant care. Funeral Thursday at Sparkman Brand Funeral Chapel.

Camp Fire Girls Candy Sale To Start Soon

Stanford merchants agree to five holidays in 1959, one fewer than last year. At Nat's Cafe representatives of local firms voted to observe two days at Christos but drop New Year’s Day and Decoration Day. Labor Day’s status was tied. Dave Gough voted to break the tie. The dry goods group then approved closing Saturday afternoons at 6 p.m. starting in February. Participating shops include Webb's McDonald's Pennes’s Athens Hi-Fashion Shop and BAH Shop.

John Bill Oman Wins Champion at Fort Worth Stock Show
John Bill Oman won the championship for medium wool in the Fat Lamb Junior Show at the Fat Stock Show in Fort Worth on Saturday. The Hampstire lamb, bred and raised by Oman, also placed ninth in the purebred Hampshire class at the Abilene show and sold for about $50 at four cents a pound. Joan Pall Don Newquist and John Schoonmaker showed breeding stock at the event Tuesday. Oman exhibited three other head.
