Auto Accident Here Friday Takes 2 Lives
Two people were killed and four hospitalized after a two car crash in Stamford Friday afternoon. Mrs Marvin Teeter 70 of 207 S Porter died at Stamford Memorial Hospital. Rosemary Gonzales Saucedo age 6 died Sunday morning from injuries. The other patient list includes Marvin Teeter 70 the driver of one vehicle.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marvin Teeter 66 of Stamford were held at the Orient Street Church of Christ with minister Dale Foster officiating. Burial followed in Highland Cemetery. Survivors include her husband two sisters four brothers and several inlaws. The crash involved another vehicle driven by Luis Palacio and occurred on North Swenson Street.

New USDA Ruling Eases Severe Sting of Yield Penalty
The Rolling Plains wins partial relief as the USDA allocates 20,563,296 extra pounds of cotton to farmers where inequities exist. Officials project about two thirds of lost yields restored, with $2 million additional cotton income in 1967 for the Rolling Plains, split across Jones and Faskel counties.

Ervie Lee Jared, 62, died at 8 15 pm Tuesday at Stamford Memorial Hospital after illness since December. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 am at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev Roy Mosley officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery. Kinney Funeral Home in charge. Born September 14 1904 in Stamford he lived here all his life. Survivors include sister Mrs Morgan Rhodes and brother Carl Jared, both of Stamford. continuous list of pallbearers unnamed.

Auto Plates Now on Sale in Texas
Automobile license plates began sale Wednesday in Texas and new tags must be on cars after April 1. In Jones County plates are available at the tax assessor collector’s office in the courthouse or at city offices in Lueders, Bishop Electric in Stamford, and Turner and Nail Insurance in Hamlin. Buyers need a certificate of title and last year’s license receipts.
