Football Boys F Entertained By Pep Squad
The annual pep squad banquet for the football team and coaches was held at the home economics cottage last Friday night with 151 attendees. Includes speeches by Tinsley and recognition of Coach Walker and Coach Fitzgerald, gifts to the team, band awards, a check to the pep squad sponsor, and a post banquet dance at the Country Club.
Mrs Griggs' mother buried near Bowie
Mrs. T. P. Miller, widow of a Baptist minister, is buried at Stoneburg cemetery near Bowie. She died recently at over 90 years old. Surviving are five sons including D. C. Miller and C. P. Miller, two daughters, 27 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. The Griggses attended the funeral and returned from the service held Tuesday.

Colden Wedding of Pioneer Couple Celebrated at Ranch
A large community celebration marked the golden wedding of Mr and Mrs Cade near Jayton Texas on January 21. About 100 guests attended a barbecue and dance at the Cade ranch with remarks from Autrey Cade and Judge A J Hagina. The couple, longtime Kent county pioneers, reside on a five section ranch and are honored by children Elmer Sam Tom and others from Jayton Hamlin Clairemont Stamford and nearby towns.
