Radio Relay Tower To Link Dallas And Phoenix
Southwestern Bell plans a 1000 mile radio relay route from Dallas to Phoenix with a 175 foot tower five miles southwest of Stamford. Frontier Lodge Motel Begins 12-Unit Addition
Work started this week on a 12 unit extension to the Frontier Lodge motel on Highway 277 north edge of Stamford owned by Cecil Gregory. The original 24 units opened last June. Brazelton Lumber Co crews prepare the foundation and expect to pour Saturday with completion set for April 1. The new units measure 12 by 22 feet and will extend the south side to form a complete U shaped complex. The completed motel is valued around 200 000 dollars and will include paving in the central area. City issued two remodeling permits this week for Wash Pot storeroom expansion and a house carport addition at 807 Cuba Street.
