Four bales of cotton from the Vers farm in the Tuxedo community were ginned Wednesday at Farmers' Cooperative Gin. Ann Dunn from Rivers' farm brought in one bale Wednesday morning and two more Wednesday afternoon, bringing this year’s ginned total to four. Automobile Crashes Store Windows When Brakes Fail
A car with failed brakes crashed into Atha's Personality shop during Saturday shopping hours, shattering about 100 square feet of plate glass front. Customer Lynnora Ralliff stood on the north side as the doors and south front collapsed. Driver A L Whittington tried to curb the car but could not stop when the master cylinder froze.
