Cancer Crusade Nets Almost $600 Tuesday
Preliminary reports show the Stamford house to house Cancer Fund drive on Tuesday night raised 582.89 with more from nonhome donations to come. The annual Crusade, sponsored by the Women's Forum and others, honored Memory of Mrs. Ruth Suddath and several memorial gifts were given.

Cotton growers in the Stamford area will meet at 8 p m in the Stamford High School cafeteria to set a uniform planting date. Charles Stenholm of Rolling Plains Cotton Growers will speak on the organization and a county wide boll weevil spray program drawing good response from 18 of 31 counties. A Avoca area meeting Tuesday settled on a planting date of May 23 or later.

The Trinity Baptist Church of Stamford begins an eight day revival on Sunday April 24 continuing through Sunday May 1. Evangelist Rev J L Johnny Cartrite pastor of Slaton Baptist Church leads the revival with Carrol Green Trinity Church pastor guiding the singing. Morning services start 9 30 am and evenings 7 30 pm Monday through Saturday include a 7 pm prayer service before the evening meeting. Sunday services follow the regular time.

Five Directors to Be Elected at Rolling Plains PCA Meeting
The 32nd annual Rolling Plains Production Credit Association meeting will be held at the local high school auditorium Saturday April 25. Council To Begin Work To Obtain Master Plan
The Stamford City Council discussed obtaining a city master plan with State Health Department rep William L. Walker. He outlined costs about 10 000 to 15 000 and two thirds funded by the Home Urban Administration, and said the plan covers schools utilities streets transportation and financial feasibility.
