Nursery Gains Approval and Modernization at Stamford Memorial Hospital
Stamford Memorial Hospital earned Texas Health Department approval for a renovated nursery and received broad nurse support. The project added a formula room, work room, new bathing facilities, sheetrock, paint, and floors to improve sanitation and storage. Community groups led by the Junior Chamber of Commerce funded and staffed the remodel, with a May 7 pancake supper planned to cover remaining debt.

Stamford Band to Compete in Abilene Regional Contest
Stamford High School band will compete at Cooper High School in Abilene on Saturday starting at 8 o clock. Instructor W. E. F. Mayes said sight reading and concert playing will be judged to University Interscholastic League standards with ratings awarded.

The First Baptist Church of Stamford will launch revival services in April 1926 led by Pastor Jack Southerland with Pascal Harris directing music. Baptist Heritage Week coincides with a national observance. Messages emphasize core doctrines as guest soloists from Abilene and nearby areas perform. Three services daily at 6:45 a.m. 10:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. with a men’s fellowship breakfast at 6:45 a.m. The church has had continuous ministry since 1900. the present pastor nears seven years serving Stamford.
