A Farm-to-Market road from Stamford to Funston about 12 miles long is under consideration by the County Commissioners Court as a high priority project after a petition was presented Monday. Easter egg hunt draws hundreds of Stamford children
About 400 to 300 young participants from preschool to fourth grade joined the Harmon Bark area hunt sponsored by the Exchange Club. Over 109 pounds of eggs hidden across the hills, with two prize eggs per division awarding a silver dollar, and a boy misquoting his prize as a half dollar. This marks the first postwar Easter egg hunt in the town.
