Sagerton Road Let In May For Stamford Sagerton Section

The highway commission will let the Stamford Sagerton section of Highway 18 in Haskell county at the May session. A letter to Sagerton citizens from W R Ely, chairman, confirms the action.

Rev Sam Morris Teaches Genesis in Fort Worth Bible School

Rev. Sam Morris is in Fort Worth this week teaching Genesis at a Pre Millennial Bible School held at First Baptist Church. He will broadcast each morning on RO over KTAT and each afternoon at 2 over WBAP. He expects to return Friday morning and will teach Sunday school and preach at 11 o clock Sunday morning.

Forty Christian Converts Added At St Johns Methodist Revival

Thirty four members were received into St Johns Methodist church on the final day of a two week revival led by Bishop H A Boaz. Most additions were children from the Sunday school. Water baptism was by sprinkling with Jordan River water. A high school service and a youth consecration service marked the closing events as the bishop urged cleansing by Christ.

Dr W B Riley to Speak at First Baptist Stamford

Dr W B Riley pastor of First Baptist Minneapolis and president of the World Christian Fundamentalist Association will preach at the Stamford First Baptist Church Friday night April. He will visit Sweetwater and Abilene then Fort Worth and end with Bible school lessons next week. Mr and Mrs Louis Cavalho of All River Massachusetts celebrate 25 years of marriage with 24 children in their family.

Stamford City Elections See Low Ballots Cast

Only 54 ballots were cast in Tuesday's Stamford city election as N Humphrey A Blackwell and B P Davenport win council seats without opposition. The same apathy marked the school trustees vote with four incumbents re elected and 62 ballots. One vote was cast for Dr Dallas Mouthard instead of Terry.

Stamford Contest Promises Cash Prizes and National Entry

The Stamford American sponsors a Yard and Garden contest offering cash prizes totaling sixty one dollars in cash plus merchandise values. Hundred Visitors In Stamford For Shrine Program

About one hundred Shriners and visitors gathered in Stamford Saturday for Maskat Temple Wichita Park goodwill visit. Muskat band opened with a concert, followed by a City Auditorium program, then a dance at the Country Club, all well attended past midnight.

Junior Play Delayed A Week After Sudden Death

The junior play featuring Keell Lanman is postponed for one week following the sudden death of Joho T Lanmeon, father of Lanman. Lanman will relocate to New Orleans to live with his brother Paul, and Stanley will adjust to the role previously studied by Lanmeon.
