The Stamford Music Club will host pianist Leonard Burford of Abilene and the Stamford Choral Club in a joint recital at First Baptist church on Sunday afternoon, April 3 at 4 o'clock. Crowd Witnessing High Speed Blowout Demonstration
A large crowd observed a LifeGuards demonstration in which a car tire blew out at about 70 mph. The test, conducted with Goodyear Service and police assistance, used a LifeGuard two ply reserve tire inside the tube to keep the car under control after punctures. W. S. Roe explained the device and why the stunt proved safe despite the apparent danger.

New Ivy Pool Producers Show Up Well Northeast of Avoca
Three Ivy pool producers along the Jones Shackelford county line northeast of Avoca report mixed results. Iron Mountain No. 10 gauged 210 barrels in 24 hours after acidizing. No. 4 Ivy shows a good depth test at 1900 feet. Owen-Snebold No. 4 at 1942 feet expects re-run with 150 barrels daily.
