Extravagance debate ends with ladies' victory at St Jone s
A St John s Mutual Improvement Society debate in Mocadale debated who is more extravagant, men or women. Miss McCormack led the ladies with argues over dress and cosmetics while Mr Summers and others defended male extravagance. The vote favored the ladies and a mock Great Western Libel Case is planned for April 15.
